Missions

Harvest Time is a local church with a global vision. Each year, we participate in world missions through prayer, giving and visiting the mission field. Our Missions Committee keeps our congregation in touch with world missions, and oversees the disbursement of funds to more than 60 missionaries and missions organizations we support each month.

Members of our congregation have traveled to South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Caribbean Islands to share the Gospel, deliver humanitarian aid, operate medical clinics and encourage overseas missionaries.

If you're interested in participating in Harvest Time Missions here or abroad, please contact Jeff and Christina Querfeld. Scroll down for some pointers on how you can help missionaries with your prayers!

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

—Matthew 28:19-20

How Can I Pray For Our Missionaries?

  • Pray regularly. Use a world map to locate the nations where missionaries for whom you're praying live. Pray for the work of God to prosper in those countries.
  • Watch News reports for mention of nations where missionaries are. If war, government changes, natural disaster, or financial crises are occurring there, pray accordingly.
  • Pray for the health and safety of the missionary family. Missionary schedules are often hectic; the working environment inhospitable. Hazardous travel conditions, the menace of terrorism, and physical illnesses where medical help is inadequate all threaten the missionary family.
  • Pray for cultural adaptation, language acquisition, and missionary relationships. Missionary ministry will be more effective if the missionary lives and works in harmony with those around him.
  • Pray for adequate financial support and emotional health. Low finances, separation from friends, and lack of adequate rest and nutrition wear both mind and body.
  • Pray for missionary couples. Pray for strong marriage relationships that will support and build up their ministry. If children are part of the family, pray that God will give wisdom concerning schooling and add His blessing to each child's growth and development.
