With Christ In Mind

Colossians 3:1-4

Since, then, you have been raised WITH CHRIST, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden WITH CHRIST in God When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear WITH HIM in glory.


Setting your mind on things above:

I. REBOOTS YOUR PROCESSOR - DIE WITH CHRIST 


vs. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

When you die WITH Christ, your mind begins to recalibrate to what things mean in life from the temporal toward things that are eternal. You start to realize that there is MORE to this life than just what I see.

II.  REDIRECTS YOUR PERSPECTIVE - RAISED WITH CHRIST   

Vs.1  “Since, then, you have been raised with Christ…”



III.  REMINDS YOU OF THE PROMISE! – WILL BE “WITH CHRIST” IN GLORY


1 Thess. 4:16-17: will be with the Lord forever

Romans 8:23: we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons,

Titus 2:13: while we wait for the blessed hope the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ

THINK ABOUT THINGS ABOVE!

Phil. 4:8: Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
