7 Things God Wants To Do In 2010

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that He may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you—even Jesus. (Acts 3:19-20)

7 Things God Wants To Do

1. Refresh Us

“He sends you abundant showers, both former and latter rains”    Joel 2:23

  • Our faith
  • Our minds & emotions
  • Our bodies

2. Replenish Our Provision

“The threshing floors will be filled with grain; the vats will overflow with new wine and oil.”    Joel 2:24

“You will have plenty to eat, until you are full”    Joel 2:26

3.Repeal Judgment and Restore Losses

“I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten—the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm—my great army that I sent among you.” Joel 2:25

  • Repeal Judgment & Restore Losses
  • Reverse the Consequences of Sin
  • Heal Broken Relationships
  • Restore Lost Resources
  • Restore Lost Time

4. Remove Our Shame

“You will praise the name of the Lord your God who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be ashamed.”    Joel 2:26

“Then you will know that I am in Israel, that I am the Lord your God, and that there is no other; never again will my people be ashamed.”    Joel 2:27

5.  Give Revelation

“And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh.  Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.”    Joel 2:28

6. Release Signs & Wonders

“I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke.  The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.”    Joel 2:30-31

7.  Ripen the Atmosphere for Harvest

“And everyone who calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved”  Joel 2:32

Let’s turn the key in January!

1. Repent

Repentance is a change of heart that results in a change of actions!

Re-think some things on the surface:

“How’s that working out for you?”

“How does this end?”

Then, invite the Holy Spirit to dig deeper

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test my thoughts, examine my ways, and lead me in the paths everlasting. Ps 139:23-24

Let’s turn the key in January!

2. Turn to God

Turn to His Presence

Turn to His Word

Turn to His House

Turn to His People

3. The Results

The result of repenting & turning to God is that our sins are blotted out:

The stain of sin is removed

The consequences of sin are removed

The power of sin is removed

The result of our sins being blotted out is that “refreshing” can come to us!
